Different kinds of stress may it be physical stress or psychological stress may cause hair to enter into a state of “telogen effluvium”. This is a condition which may occur when the normal phase of growth is disrupted and the follicles of the scalp go into an inactive stage together. When this happens, there is an unexpected and abrupt hair loss.
There are instances that may cause telogen effluvium such as chemotherapy, high fevers, childbirth, major surgery, acute infections or severe illnesses. Dieting which may result to loss of iron and protein may also trigger telogen effluvium. Also, excessive ingestion of Vitamin A supplements may also result to such condition.
Telogen effluvium is not a permanent condition. Hair may recover when the resting follicles reactivate. Decrease of hair loss normally takes up to eight months. Restoration of the normal appearance of the scalp may take longer because hair grows at roughly at the rate of 1.25 cm per month.
Telogen effluvium is particularly noticeable during shampooing although shampoo does not set off or aggravate the condition. This condition is known to have an effect on dyed hair more that any grey or white hair.
Telogen effluvium may easily be confused with Female Pattern Hair Loss. Correct diagnosis is important as there are various treatment options available. When the General Practitioner or Dermatologist find out that one is suffering from telogen effluvium, the most effective means to manage this is by using hair replacement prosthesis or scalp make up. Do you have questions about cat urinary tract health? Cat urinary tract health usually refers to feline urinary tract disease. This may develop into a serious condition that affects both male and female cats, and usually in the middle age years. (Kittens rarely have such a condition) Urinary tract infection in cats starts with a bacterial infection in and around the bladder and urethra. As the infection spreads it gets progressively worse, when minerals clump together in the urethra preventing urine from passing.
Why does this condition happen? There is no sure explanation for cat urinary tract health problems. It’s easy to speculate that bacteria or contamination is the sole cause of the problem, though most vets would look beyond the peripheral. Some common beliefs include that bad diets result in unhealthy pH in the urine, or that a cat is not drinking enough water every day. Other factors may be stress, a lack of exercise, breeding propensity, allergies and obesity.
What are the symptoms to look out for when trying to catch problems with cat urinary tract health? If you see that the cat is having difficulty urinating (as evidenced by small volume) then this is a probable sign. In addition, if you notice your cat licking its genital area excessively or urinating in areas outside the litter box, then you may have reason for concern. You should also be observant as to any changes in the cat’s behavior such as decreased appetite, decreased appearances (preferring to “hide”) or any blood in the urine. Last but not least, a cat meowing out in pain is obviously very indicative of an internal problem.
What can you do to improve cat urinary tract health? You may have noticed that stress is one of the causes of the condition, and while you wouldn’t think that a cat has much stress to worry about (likely your cat doesn’t work as hard as Morris the Cat had to during the 1960s) distressing the cat can be problematic. Cats get stressed according to even very subtle changes in surroundings, like severe weather, changes in family dynamics, home relocation, new houseguests, or even new cats they see in the neighborhood.
Water intake is very important. The more water the cat drinks the less the urine stays in the bladder, thus minimizing the risk for infection. However, unlike dogs, cats usually don’t like to drink a lot of water. The feline species used to roam the desert and so evolved into almost camel-like creatures that can maintain a stable life with only a minimal amount of water. In fact, hunting cats derived most of their water from eating their prey. The domestic cat is used to eating dry foods and thus do not gulp down water-certainly not enough water to resist urinary tract infection.
What can you do increase your cat’s water intake? Canned wet food is good start, as is using ceramic dishes instead of plastic. You should also rinse all of the cat’s dishes daily with fresh, clean water. If your cat has more opportunity to drink then it might just take those opportunities, so leave more than one dish of water lying around the house. Some cat owners have even bought more attractive and refreshing kitty fountains just to motivate the cat to drink more.
It is important to visit a veterinarian when you first notice the symptoms so you can proceed with helpful treatment. The vet will give you relevant information on a cat’s diet, drinking habits, and any other conditions that might be related to cat urinary tract health.

Yeast infections can be very uncomfortable. Sometimes the itching and discomfort can get so bad it is difficult to go about your daily routine. Wouldn’t it be great if there were an easy remedy instead of having to make an appointment at the medical clinic and go through all that hassle?
In fact, you may have an infection remedy in your kitchen right now. You may not even need to go to the store to get relief.
Before we start talking about remedies, it will help if you know a little about how these infections work. These infections are caused by bacteria we harbor in our bodies all the time… Candida albicans. Usually Candida behaves itself, and helps us fight off the other nasty bugs out there.
When there is an imbalance in the body, Candida can grow out of control causing an infection. Imbalances can be caused by illness, stress, anxiety, diabetes or the consumption of too many foods that break down into sugars in the body.
Foods that do this are anything sugary and carbohydrates. If you balance these foods with protein and vegetables, the chances of developing a food-related yeast infection will drop.
Now it’s time to look in your kitchen for that yeast infection home remedy. The most commonly used home remedy is plain yogurt. You may have that in your refrigerator already if you use it for cooking or you like your yogurt plain.
If you do find some plain yogurt with active cultures hidden inside your fridge, freeze a small dollop of it to insert in the area affected by the yeast infection. The Lactobacillus acidophilus inside the yogurt is the active ingredient here. It can restore your balance of bacteria and cure your infection. Be careful… this remedy is messy, but effective.
If you don’t have any yogurt, what about a clove of garlic? Garlic powder won’t cut it here… you need a clove. If you have minced garlic in a jar in the refrigerator, it may be possible to use if you can wrap it securely in enough cheesecloth to prevent any of the small bits from escaping.
The whole point is you want to be able to retrieve it all after a few hours. Garlic is fast and effective. It only needs to be in place for a short time. If you need to apply it again the next day, go ahead, but again only leave it for a few hours.
If you don’t have garlic cloves, check your medicine cabinet for tea tree essential oil. A few drops of this potent oil will usually give you a lot of relief. Tea tree oil is very strong, so you may want to mix those few drops with a couple tablespoons of olive oil.
The yeast infection home remedy you need may already be at hand. If you’re prone to infections, it may pay to keep a few of these items on hand so you can treat it at the first sign of trouble.

What is a Yeast Infection & Candida?
A yeast infection is a symptom of a deeper underlying problem in your body called Candidiasis or Candida for short. Are you scared that you are starting to find signs of cheating in marriage? Cheating is one of the worst things that can happen in a marriage. Once it occurs, it’s difficult at best to regain the trust.
There’s really no list or set number of signs, but below I’ve put together 7 very common signs in the hopes it will help you out.
1. Schedule Changes: Does your spouse suddenly have dramatic schedule changes? Are there new, long work hours? Are there places they suddenly have to be? Are you invited to go along? This is one of the most basic signs of cheating in marriage.
2. Personal Hygiene: Has your spouse began to alter their appearance? Do they pay more attention to the way they look? Have they purchased a new fragrance?
3. Sex Life: Has your sex life gotten more interesting lately? Do you find yourself with a tiger in the sack? Or, is it just the opposite, suddenly there is not interest in you at all? You might find that your sex life changes dramatically if your partner is cheating.
4. Phone Usage: Do you notice your spouse taking more calls? Do they need to step out to take the call in private? What about text messages? Is your spouse now getting more texts than ever? Are you allowed to answer their phone?
5. Money: Have you noticed any new purchases on your credit card statement? What about new, unexplained gifts around the house? Is there cash missing, however small of an amount? Are you allowed to see all of your bank and credit card statements?
6. Mood Changes: Does your spouse seem to be more irritable? More detached from you? Have they gotten quiet, and withdrawn? Do you find yourself fighting for no apparent reason? Do they seem to be on an emotional roller coaster? This too is one of the most common signs of cheating in marriage.
7. Dishonesty: Has there been some mystery surrounding your spouses whereabouts or what they’ve been doing? Has there stories just not really made sense to you? Are there some areas that are “off-limits” and you aren’t allowed to ask them about?
Of course, there are lots more signs of cheating in marriage, but this short list gives plenty opportunities to notice them if they exist. This brings up a great point. Suspicion is one thing, but more importantly, proof is what you really need. If your spouse is innocent, proof will confirm their innocence. However, if guilty, proof will confirm their guilt.
So while it’s important to notice the signs of cheating in marriage, it’s important not to take action until you have proof.

The myths and legends of fairies are as plenteous as the sands of the sea. The stories passed down from generation to generation speak of magical beings of untold power, mystery and beauty. Many wonder what the truth behind the tales are, but many more desire to know what fairies look like- what about them is so striking?
The Gift of Physical Beauty
Though there are many stories and artistic renderings of what fairies look like, there are few who know exactly what to believe. Do fairies have deep black eyes, pointed claw-like fingers and fangs? Or are fairies creatures of ethereal beauty and grace?
More are likely to believe that the fairies of the stories they have read as a child are truly glorious beings. Whereas some fairies such as Tinkerbell can be diminutive in stature, there are others that are six feet tall.
